RESIDENT OPPORTUNITIES & SELF-SUFFICENCY PROGRAM    
  
                                              (ROSS)
The West Palm Beach Housing Authority received a ROSS
grant in FY 2008. The ROSS grant funds programs that
provide for the delivery and coordination of supportive
services and other activities designed to help public housing
residents attain self-sufficiency. Services for the ROSS Grant
are currently being provided through the Career Development
and Computer Training Center located in Dunbar Village. The
program is currently being managed by Florida Resource
Center for Women and Children, (FRCWC) and agency that
has an ongoing partnership with the West Palm Beach Housing
Authority. Services offered include the following: Computer
Training (Word, Excel, Power Point) Job/Education Training,
Life Skills classes, Literacy training, Financial Readiness and
Home Ownership Preparation classes. The ROSS program is
currentl
y actively recruiting participants. Interested residents
