Florida Resource Center has
provided supportive services to
12,468 victims of domestic
violence.
* * * * * * * * * *
The Center receives
approximately 50 calls per
week from victims with an
average of 2,600 calls per year.
We estimate twice as many
victims (5,200) would like to call
for assistance, but are too
afraid.

Of the 50 calls received per
week from victims, 90% are
from the northern Palm Beach
County area. In Palm Beach
County, there are as many as
2,400 domestic violence cases
at any given time waiting to be
adjudicated.

In our county, police are
averaging 285 domestic

An innovative and unique community-based organization, offering
emergency shelter, education, social services and community
building programs to women & children since 1999.
Dear Friend of FRCWC,
Thousands of women & children count on FRCWC to provide them
with safety, shelter, relocation and other services so they can end the
cycle of violence that trapped them in abuse and fear. We need your
support to continue to offer the full range of services that our clients
have come to rely on. WE MUST RAISE $150,000 TO FULLY FUND
THIS FISCAL YEAR'S BUDGET BY SEPTEMBER 30, 2010.
This level of funding enables us to continue providing battered women
& children with the services they so desperately need. Last Year:
1) We sheltered 596 individuals
while keeping them safe & secure.
2) We provided 2,308 victims of
domestic violence with comprehensive
support services.
3) We staffed a 24/7 crisis hot line
which received 20,713 calls.
4) We provided over 900 children with
anti-violence education programs as well as
an alternative to suspension program for High
School Students.
5) We provided clinical health &
education services to over 950
uninsured/underinsured individuals.
We must continue to offer these important services so that victims of
domestic violence have the opportunities for safety and a clear
pathway to self-sufficiency, independence & a life free of abuse. Every
gift, no matter its size, helps us get closer to reaching our goal.
PLEASE MAKE YOUR GIFT TODAY. The FRCWC staff has done some
incredible work this past year. Your support helps make our success
possible - Thank you!
