FRCWC officially opened the mobile health clinic and education center on October 5,
2009. The clinic will serve residents of Dunbar Village, Robinson Villa, Twin Lakes,
Southridge, Pleasant City and Section 8 residents of the West Palm Beach Housing
Authority. Medical care is offered to all residents free of charge and includes
comprehensive health assessments, physicals, treatment of infectious diseases and
injuries, treatment of acute and chronic conditions such as diabetes, asthma and high
blood pressure and school/sports physicals. Health education seminars are being held
on H1N1 flu virus, breast health, domestic violence, HIV/Aids Prevention and Awareness,
infectious diseases, personal hygiene, Diabetes Awareness and High Blood Pressure
Awareness. The focus is on prevention as well as treatment and monitoring.
The clinic is open both day and evenings and on weekends. Two Nurse Practitioners & a
Nurse's Aide, under the supervision of a physician provide gentle and nurturing care as
well as follow-up, laboratory and diagnostics.

Graduates from the SHAW Project's Self-Sufficiency Program (Computers) October 5, 2009.
Two graduates from the SHAW Project's Self-Sufficiency Program cut the cake as they
celebrate their graduation from the computer class.
THE SHAW (Supporting Health and Well-Being) Project is a collaboration with FRCWC to
provide services including: direct health care, health education, finance, child care,
tutoring, computers, GED/SAT Preparation, mentoring, career assessments, financial aid
assistance, legal services and employment readiness/assistance.

Florida Resource Center For Women and Children, Inc., Palm Beach Center of Health,
Inc., National City Bank, Consumer Credit Management Services, Palm Beach Community
College, Legal Aid of Palm Beach County, Workforce Alliance, West Palm Beach Housing
Authority, WOF Community Development Corporation, The Quantum Foundation, The
Jim Moran Foundation and The Bickford Foundation.
Each partner is committed to providing quality services and education as wellas to
expanding this cooperative effort on behalf of residents of the West Palm Beach
Housing Authority to include Dunbar Village and the surrounding community.
