Since its inception in 1999,
Florida Resource Center for
Women and Children, Inc. has
provided supportive services to
12,468 victims of domestic
violence.

The Center receives
approximately 50 calls per
week from victims with an
average of 2,600 calls per year.
We estimate twice as many
victims (5,200) would like to call
for assistance, but are too
afraid.

Of the 50 calls received per
week from victims, 90% are
from the northern Palm Beach
County area. In Palm Beach
County, there are as many as
2,400 domestic violence cases
at any given time waiting to be
adjudicated.

In our county, police are
averaging 285 domestic
violence arrests a month.

We would like to thank everybody for
their wonderful support of our
Brunch/Auction on May 17th. Over 100
people came to bid on unique art and
jewelry, heard from three brave
survivors and enjoyed Leslie Gray
Streeter's humorous insights as well
as a delicious breakfast!! Your
generosity will assist us in continuing
to provide emergency shelter and
supportive services to victims of
domestic violence.
We are happy to report that we
profited over $14,000 from the event!
We can not thank everybody enough
who helped and contributed to our
"How Does Our Garden Grow?"
Brunch/Auction. We are so blessed to
have a strong network of individuals
that care so much about Domestic
Violence.
